Warning: Attempt to talk about something deeper...
Hi all. I think I am off my Coldplay concert high by now. I am dangerously walking the lines of worshipping idols.
Anyhoo, went to watch V for Vendetta to day. I seriously thought at first it was a really crappy knockoff of Zorro. I mean, guy in a mask, yielding swords... I was urged by a few friends to go watch it, cuz apparently it rocked hard. So at the prompting of another friend, we went to see le movie. IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Honestly, GREAT action (ain't too much of it though), GREAT plot, GREAT ideas, just really well done film overall I think. The scene with the whole lovey dovey stuff coulda been done in a more classy way though. Regardless of the fact that there was a corny love scene, it does not take away from the purpose of the story. Who woulda thunk that comics (or graphic novels) could be so inspirational! The whole notion of one single person living out an idea of the masses instead of just thinking it, never brave enough to act on it. I felt the film puts some things into question. Am I willing to act out what I believe, or do I just wanna talk about it and think about it and, yes I will go there, pray about it. If God shows me the work He wants me to engage in, will I just sit idly and wait for the time when I am ready, all the while missing the fact that God doesn't want ppl to keep getting ready, He wants us to be READY....already...Freddy.
P.S: A friend that I watched the movie with, after the movie has ended, thought that I didn't get the movie. Do I appear THAT stupid? That bites.
